Organizing the Company Workflow


Organization of the workflow of your company is an essential part of optimizing your business. It may seem daunting but you can manage it. Your team can be more productive by planning and some tips.

A workflow is the sequence of steps required to finish a task. It may be sequential or parallel, or a combination of both. It consists of mandatory tasks such as must-haves, nice-to-haves, and other tasks which must be completed in order to reach the goal of the process. It also includes the equipment, resources and personnel needed to complete these tasks. A well-organized workflow will ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. It also allows employees to concentrate on the most important aspects of their job.

The workflow process can be streamlined using software. This is particularly useful in customer service, where it can cut down on the time needed to answer a query. Automation can also decrease human error, which could improve the quality of the product.

A workflow can be organized into folders on the dashboard to aid in the search and manage your processes. For example the sales workflow could be divided into various folders based on brands or product lines. Go to the dashboard for workflows and click Create. Create a name and then select the checkbox next to the business unit that you want to assign. To change the workflow’s business unit assigned to it you must hover over the workflow and select More > Change business unit.
